Vivien obtained her Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore, Vivien has been pursuing Piano studies for 16 years. She had also picked up the Saxophone and Clarinet during her 10 years of wind band education in her Primary School, Secondary School, and Junior College. Throughout the years, she has transformed from being a classical solo pianist, to a section saxophonist and clarinettist, and into a collaborative pianist, exploring the chamber music repertoire with her peers. Collaborating with her peers on such performance projects has allowed her to communicate with people and make meaningful conversations throughout the musicking process. It is here where she finds making music the most memorable and impactful. She has also developed a passion for music education, having taught students of different ages and from various backgrounds over many years. Having the sensitivity to student’s likes and strengths, Vivien tailors every lesson to student’s preferences and ability. She believes in broadening the perspective of every student through developing a more holistic understanding of music, and of the world through music.

Vivien obtained distinction in the Trinity Diploma LTCL Examination and is also certified with ABRSM Grade 8 Theory. She specialises in teaching the following classes: Classical Piano, Music Theory and Music Appreciation (for all ages).
