Amy Ang
Founder
Educated and trained in University of Cambridge, Amy spent years learning classical piano performance in the UK. Graduated from Girton College, the one with the most musical history in Cambridge, she is well versed with the rich musical history in Europe. Her experience ranged from delivering lectures on fundamentals of music to undergraduates, to performing as choir piano accompanist at University of Cambridge.
Founded in 1869, Girton College is one of the largest colleges at Cambridge famous for music and art. She participated in many concerts in the UK, France, and Russia. She performed at King’s College, Trinity College and Churchill College. She was awarded the title of outstanding piano performer in the Xinghai Cup National Competition in China.
After getting back to Singapore in 2015, Amy founded Avocado Piano to promote a more proactive and intuitive piano learning culture by teaching both kids and adults alike. Her energy and passion win over her students and open a door for them to the muscial world.
From 2010, Amy has over 10 years of teaching experience both in institutions and as private instructor. She has Chinese Grade 10 Diploma and ABRSM Grade 8. She is a certified member of the Yamaha Piano Teachers' Circle.
